Biography


Multi-instrumentalist Morgan Guerin grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he was given his first pair of drumsticks at six months old, followed shortly thereafter by a drum set. By six, Morgan had his first saxophone and his instrumental repertoire began to expand. As a teen, Morgan began to gain recognition for his work, had performed a number of international jazz festivals, and was selected as a Young Arts Finalist.

Morgan currently lives in New York City and attends The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. He is a member of Terri Lyne Carrington’s band, Social Science (where he plays bass, saxophone and EWI). He also tours with Amina Figarova’s Sextet. An active producer and engineer, Morgan’s work can be heard on albums such as Justin Brown’s “Nyeusi” and Jesse Fischer’s “Flipped II.”

Morgan has released two albums as a leader — The Saga (2016) & The Saga II (2017).
